Birmingham Lockdown Stories

Jaskirt Boora is creating a collaborative narrative with the people of Birmingham. Through conversations with each subject, the chosen location aims to reflect their story of lockdown and the pandemic.

In addition to the portraits and written stories, Jaskirt is running photography workshops the subjects can take part in.

The workshops have been designed to make the project as collaborative as possible. Those taking part are given the opportunity to make their own work and content to share as part of their narrative and experience of  Covid19 and lockdown.

The project has been shot on medium format film and the website will be updated with the final series of images once the project concludes in October.

If you would like to get involved and have a story to share please get in touch.

Covid19 (Birmingham lockdown stories)  has been commissioned by GRAIN Projects, Birmingham City Council and Arts Council England.
